Recap Of AMD’s Press Conference With Guest Speaker, LeVar Burton

We had the opportunity to attend AMD’s press conference last night at the Consumer Electronics Show, where Lisa Su, Sr. Vice President and General Manager of AMD Business Units, talked about the company’s upcoming Kaveri APU and the new Apple Mac Pro, which features AMD FirePro graphics.

AMD also talked about Project Spark, its holodeck-like Surround House where the company demonstrated gesture controls, surround computing, the capabilities of it FirePro graphics, and AMD's TrueAudio Technology.

Also making an appearance at the event was Star Trek TNG's LeVar Burton who had a chance to talk about some of AMD’s new technologies and its 360-degree gesture controls, after experiencing a demo inside the Surround House. Check out the video below to hear exactly what he had to say...
