Huawei P30 Pro Pricing And Release Date Accidentally Leaked By Amazon

Huawei has yet to announce its next generation of smartphones, the P30 and P30 Pro, but leaks abound. Amazon accidentally posted a listing for the new devices confirming the pricing, release date, and specs for the P30 Pro.

The Amazon listing was quickly pulled, but revealed some interesting information. The P30 Pro will ring in at €1024 or $1161 USD. It will incorporate Huawei’s own Kirin 980 SoC, 8GB of RAM, 128GB internal storage, and Android 9 Pie. The device will also include a Leica 4-input camera system. This includes a 32MP front camera, a 40MP main sensor, 20MP wide-angle sensor, an 8MP sensor, 10X Hybrid Zoom, and ToF.

The P30 Pro is listed as a bundle with a USB-C headset, charger, USB-C cable, SIM tool, micro USB-A to USB-C adapter, and other necessities. This particular device comes in the color “amber sunrise” and there appears to be at least one other color variant. The listing notes that the device will be available on April 5th.

The pulled listing is revelatory, but omits some information. Most importantly, the listing does not confirm any information about the Huawei P30. It is believed that this device will cost €800 or $907 USD, but we simply do not know for certain. This listing also does not provide any pricing for the rumored 256GB and 512GB storage options for the P30 Pro.

It is also unclear whether the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be available for sale in the United States. Huawei recently filed a lawsuit against the United States government, because it banned all agencies from using Huawei products. The government fears that Huawei and other Chinese companies like ZTE are using their devices to spy on behalf of the Chinese government. Huawei is even reportedly developing its own operating system in case it is banned from using software from U.S.-based companies.

We will know more about the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro on March 26th when Huawei plans to announce a slew of new devices at an event in Paris. Until then we can ruminate over the leaked photos and specs.
