Preorder Page Suggests Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Will Land On December 8

If you've been anxiously awaiting the release of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet, you may not have to wait much longer. We already knew that the tablet was scheduled to ship sometime next month, but now we have a slightly more specific date. According to a preorder page on Newegg, the tablet could be released about a week and a half from today on December 8. Newegg's preorder page also shows the price tag of the tablet: $499.00. This price should keep the tablet competitive with other offerings on the market.

As you may recall, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime features NVIDIA's Tegra 3 quad-core processor as well as Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). Not long ago, we saw a video showing the Transformer Prime with smooth transitions and flawless 1080p playback performance.

In addition to the Tegra 3 quad-core processor and Ice Cream Sandwich, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime also has a 10.1-inch WXGA IPS+ capacitive touchscreen display, 1GB of DDR2 memory, 32GB/64GB eMMC flash memory, 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera, micro HDMI port, microSD card slot, and more.
