If you've been waiting to get your hands on the
Palm Pre, but don't
have a lot of cash to spend, now's your chance. Assuming you're willing to go
through the rebate process, you can pick up a Palm Pre for just $79.99 from
Walmart with a 2-year
agreement. This price is after a $100 mail in rebate.
This isn't the first time we've seen a good deal on the Pre—In
July, Best Buy
accidentally
lowered the price on the phone to $99. That glitch was quickly fixed. Of course,
the price of a phone tends to drop quickly these days, so if you missed out on
the Best Buy deal a few months ago, here's your second chance.
Key features of the Palm Pre include:
- Palm synergy links contacts and calendars from Outlook,
Google and Facebook
- Keep multiple applications open and move easily between them
- Slide-out QWERTY keyboard
- Palm webOS platform
- Combined IM, MMS and SMS messaging
- All in-one calendar
- Integrated contacts from multiple sources
- 3G speeds where available
- Touchscreen
- Music capable
- Sprint TV
- GPS Navigation enabled
- Web browsing capable
- Email capable
- Camera
- Bluetooth Wireless
If prices stay this low, some expect the
Pixi
could show up for next to nothing. No word on whether the Pre pricing offer is
available at retail locations.
