MSI Wind U120 Netbook Steps Up, Ships Out

MSI did the right thing by beefing up its Wind U100 with a six-cell battery and a 160GB hard drive, but in doing so, it took a fair amount of thunder away from the machine's successor. The Wind U120 keeps the same 10 inch LCD, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1.3 megapixel camera and 4-in-1 card reader, though it does include Bluetooth as a standard option.

It's widely speculated that the U120 is a simple stopgap between the aging U100 and MSI's true next-generation netbook, but for those in need of a small machine right now, it still offers plenty of value. For $469.99, the freshest Wind can be yours, complete with a more mature, classy enclosure and a nagging feeling that it will be outdated just as soon as CeBIT starts up in March. Have a closer look at the Wind U120's stylish exterior over at Engadget.
