MSI Ships Quadro Workstation With NVIDIA Quadro K2000M GPU

CES 2013 is upon us. Gadget lovers and technology hounds everywhere will soon have plenty of reasons to be excited for the new year, as loads of companies will be taking the wraps off of new tech in the days ahead. MSI is getting a jump on the crowds, however, by introducing a new mobile workstation prior to the show officially opening its doors. Starting now, MSI is making its Quadro Workstation laptop available, with NVIDIA's Quadro K2000M GPU powering things on the graphics front. Obviously, this one's meant more for professionals than average consumers, but players in the enterprise space might want to take note.

The Quadro Workstation supports more than 150 professional applications, including Adobe CS6, Avid Media Composer, Autodesk Inventor, Siemens NX and PTC Creo. “The MSI GT60-0NG platform, with the NVIDIA Quadro K2000M, is the ideal form factor for CAD and DCC professionals that need the flexibility to be mobile, yet still need the proven reliability and stability of a workstation-class solution,” said Shawn Worsell, product line manager at NVIDIA.  “Mobile Workstations enable explorers, designers and artists to unleash their creativity anywhere, and everywhere they go.”

Other specs include an Intel Core i7 quad-core processor, Killer networking technology, Gigabit Ethernet, a backlit keyboard, support for up to four displays, and a price tag of $2,099.99. Yeah, it's a pricey guy, but it's capable of handling some pretty pricey jobs.
