MSI Launches FX603 Notebook
As ambitious as the One Laptop Per Child initiative is, at the rate MSI churns out new notebook models, the company will have a unique offering for every man, woman, and minotaur on the planet. Fresh off the assembly line this time around is MSI's new FX603, a 15.6-inch notebook sheathed in the company's own anti-scratch, anti-smudged raised totem seal coating technology.
Pop open the lid/chassis and you'll find anywhere from a Core i3 330M to Core i5 460M processor, up to 8GB of DDR3-1066 memory, Nvidia GeForce GT 425M graphics with a 1GB frame buffer, 320/500/640GB hard drive, DVD writer, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 2.0 port, 5-in-1 memory card reader, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, HDMI, VGA, Windows 7 Home Premium, and a 6-cell battery.
You'll also find the usual assortment of MSI technologies, things like GPU Boost (automatic switching between discrete and integrated graphics), Turbo Drive Engine (one touch overclocking), and THX TruStudio Pro sound.
