Microsoft’s Surface Pro appeared on Best Buy’s website today, complete with an
Ivy Bridge processor and your choice of
64GB or
128GB of storage. The lower-capacity tablet rings in at $899.99, and the 128GB model is priced at $999.99, so you’re looking at $100 to double the storage. Keep in mind that part of that storage is dedicated to the OS itself, as we
discussed earlier in the week.
The
Surface Pro is expected to be available on February 8th, so it’s not that surprising to see it appearing on Best Buy’s site at this point. However, Best Buy is already planning on free shipping for both models and you can add it to your wish list.
Thanks to the Intel
Core i5 processor and other higher-end components, the Surface Pro is much more expensive than its
ARM-based Surface RT siblings, but it also offers better performance, and paired with Microsoft Type Cover, looks a lot like an ultrabook.
