Microsoft Office for Android Looks Good but Might Not Be Ready for Prime Time
In theory, yes. But in practice, not everyone is thrilled with the product Microsoft pushed out. CITEWorld posted a review of Office for Android, noting that the app interface is "super simple and looks great," but that the user interface "definitely feels half-baked."
The primary problem is that you're limited to what you can do. For example, while Microsoft offers unfettered access to documents in your SkyDrive account, Office 365, and SharePoint, you can't pull files from third-party services like DropBox. Somewhat understandable, but still a bummer.
You're also limited in your editing options. The essentials are there, like bold, underline, and highlight, but advanced tricks don't fall within the scope of what you can do with Office for Android. CITEWorld also ran into some quirky issues when co-authoring documents.
Have you tried any of the mobile Office versions? If so, what are your impressions?
