These days, there's buzz surrounding
Dropbox and Box.net. But in reality, there are plenty of other services out there that offer similar things. Microsoft's
SkyDrive has continually been one of the best on paper, but it has yet to reach critical mass in terms of buzz. But now, with the help of one key integration ingredient, that may be changing.
Microsoft has just tweaked SkyDrive's API this week, which allows third-party Windows Phone apps to have full access to SkyDrive. That means that applications not even created by Microsoft can upload / share images and other multimedia to SkyDrive.
Microsoft says they've been listening to feedback and attempting to implement these things as quickly as possible, and we're guessing this is just the start of things. Now, the real question: will Microsoft extend the same courtesy to Android and iOS users?
