LucidLogix Now Supports AMD Radeon HD 6000 Series GPUs

The concept of pairing two totally different GPUs together in order to strive towards a common goal is a really radical one, and it's one that has been embraced by LucidLogix. This company is the one that comes to mind when you think of multi-core graphics from different vendors, as their HydraLogix read-time distributed processing engine and its Virtu GPU virtualization software has become nearly legendary in the gaming community.

But it's not simple to make this work, and the company knows that. It's far from being "plug-n-play," but they're constantly pushing out new releases that support new GPUs. And that, is progress. The latest to come out is support for AMD's new Radeon HD 6000 Series GPUs. Virtu for desktops, which complements AMDs Switchable Graphics technology for notebooks, allows Intel H67 and Z68 desktop systems to simultaneously take full advantage of the low-power media processing features of the 2nd generationIntel Core processor graphics and the 3D gaming, multi-GPU and multi-display benefits of AMD Radeon HD 6000 series of discrete add-in cards.

Now with Lucid’s Virtu, it is possible to run one or two discrete AMD GPUs and still utilize the Intel Quick Sync performance and lower power of the Intel HD graphics in the 2nd generation Core processor. It's a dream scenario, and now it's a reality. Talk about being present in the future!
