Logitech’s New G512 Keyboard Gets Clickety Clackety GX Blue Mechanical Switches

If you are the sort of PC gamer that likes blingy and clicky keyboards, you will like the new Logitech G512 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. The new keyboard is the first product from Logitech that comes with the new GX Blue mechanical switches. Logitech promises that these key switches have the sort of click you can feel and hear.

The G512 is built on the same design of the G413 and G513 keyboards. The new G512 can be ordered with one of three different switches inside including the existing Tactile and Linear switches along with the new GX Blue. The Tactile switch offers what Logitech calls “discernable” actuation for gamers while the Linear version gives a smooth keystroke.

“We’re excited to bring more choice to gamers,” said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of Logitech Gaming. “With three different mechanical switch choices now on our Logitech G512 and G513 keyboards, gamers can pick the switch profile and experience they want.”

The new GX Blue switches will also be offered on the Logitech G513 keyboard giving players three options to choose from on that device. The G512 keyboard also has LIGHTSYNC technology that gives gamers access to 16.8 million RGB colors and lighting effects to choose from. G512 buyers get an anodized aluminum top case that gives a slim profile with a durable design.

The keyboard has four lighting zones that can be controlled via the Logitech Gaming Software. The G512 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard will launch this month and any of the three key switches will sell for the same $99.99. The G513 keyboard with the GX Blue switches will sell for $149.99 and launches later this month.
