LeEco LeLeaks Its US Launch Details For New Android Phones And TVs

LeEco's U.S. launch event scheduled for October 19th may not hold many surprises, not anymore, anyway. Whether by accident (likely) or a controlled leak as Apple is prone to do (probably not), several unannounced devices showed up on LeEco's website for a brief time, including a couple of Android smartphones and four televisions.

It appears that LeEco was prepping is web store for post launch, though someone must have accidentally flipped the switch way ahead of schedule. The listings have all been taken down, but not before the Internet took notice—as we've said a million times now, there are no mulligans on the web.

LeEco Le S3

One of the products LeEco plans to launch his the Le Max2. Announced earlier this year, the Le Max2 features a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 32GB to 128GB of internal storage, 21-megapixel rear-camera, 3,100 mAh battery, and Android 6.0. LeEco's web store gaffe listed the phone at $349 ($289 after discount), though it's not entirely clear if that was for the 32GB storage model with 4GB of RAM.

LeEco also provided launch pricing for the Le S3. From the looks of things, it appears to be a rebadged Le 2 with. The specs are the same—5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 652 SoC, 16-megapixel rear camera, Quick Charge 3.0, 3,000 mAh battery, and Android 6.0. This one will carry an MSRP of $299 with a launch discount of $60.

Having recently acquired Vizio, LeEco's U.S. launch includes some 4K televisions as well. They include:
  • LeEco Super4 X43 Pro TV: $14.99
  • LeEco Super4 X55 TV: $799
  • LeEco Super4 X65 TV: $14.99
  • LeEco uMax 85 TV: $799
Don't get your hopes up at any of those prices, there's no way LeEco's selling an 85-inch 4K TV for $799, nor will it sell smaller models for $14.99. The 55-inch price ($799) is the only believable one of the bunch, though like the rest, it might be a placeholder, tool
