Leaked Image Of Droid RAZR Appears

Tomorrow could be a very good day for Android fans. First up, Motorola is holding a press conference where the Xoom 2 tablet and a phone called the Droid RAZR are expected to be announced. Then, later in the evening, Samsung and Google have scheduled a press event in Hong Kong where the Nexus Prime and Ice Cream Sandwich are expected to be revealed.

While we're waiting for the formal announcements, a leaked press image of the Droid RAZR has appeared to give us a taste of what may be to come. From the press shot, the phone has a similar design as other Motorola Droid phones with a seemingly slimmer form. Given that the tag line for Motorola's press event is "Faster, Thinner, Smarter, Stronger," we have a lot of expectations from this phone.

Thus far, leaked information suggests that the Droid RAZR could have a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, and an 8MP camera. It is expected to support LTE connectivity as well. To meet the "Stronger" portion of the claim, the phone will have a gorilla glass screen, be wrapped in Kevlar, and be splash resistant.

Currently, Motorola's Droid Bionic smartphone is the thinnest LTE phone in Verizon Wireless' lineup. At its thinnest point, the Droid Bionic is 10.99mm. To compare, the iPhone 4S is 9.3mm thick.
