Lamborghini’s Asterion LPI 910-4 Hybrid Supercar Sports Neck-Snapping 897 Horsepower, Goes 0 To 60 In 3 Seconds Flat
It’s hard to imagine that the words “supercar” and “fuel-efficient” would go in the same sentence. But those are two words, among others, that are being used to describe Lamborghini’s latest concept car, the Asterion LPI-910 hybrid supercar, which was unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show
Boasting an 897 horsepower V10 engine, the all wheel drive Asterion can go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds and will hit a top speed of 199 mph. But despite the massive power behind it, the car is able to get 57 miles per gallon while keeping its CO2 emissions to 98 g/km.

In order to achieve such impressive fuel efficiency, for a supercar, the Asterion simultaneously pulls 602 hp from the V10 while the remaining 295 hp comes from the supercar’s lithium-ion powered electric motors. Simply by running on the electric motor, the Asterion is capable of achieving up to 78 mph and will travel up to 50 km (31 miles).
According to Road & Track, the Asterion is expected to be for full production use and not a limited-run experiment.
What do you think of the Asterion and how much do you think it will cost?
