Intel Debuts 335 Series SSDs Packing 20nm NAND Technology

Intel is now shipping its next-generation client/consumer SSDs, the Intel SSD 335 series, which are built using 20nm NAND flash memory, which Intel developed in tandem with IM Flash Technologies. The 20nm NAND uses a planar cell structure and Hi-K/metal gate stack integration to beat the scaling constraints of the traditional NAND floating gate cell.

Available in a 240GB capacity, the Intel SSD 335 features SATA 6Gbps, 500MBps/450MBps sequential read/write speeds, and 42,000 IOPS/52,000 IOPS. The 2.5-inch drive measures 9.5mm in height including the chassis.
