HP Reveals 11 New AMD-Powered Notebooks

Another month, another wave of new notebooks from HP. Today, the PC powerhouse has expanded their consumer and business lines with 11 new models, all of which utilize AMD's new VISION technology. That's an affordable line with plenty of punch for most people -- the A-series APU is a step above Fusion, and it's being used more and more frequently in smaller, lighter full-size notebooks.

The HP Pavilion dv-series is seeing an across-the-board update, with the dv4, dv6 and dv7 getting CoolSense, True Vision HD webcam, and HP Beats Audio (on the dv6 and dv7 only). HP tells us that the DV-series offers a 2x graphics performance increase compared with prior-generation machines with integrated graphics, so if you held off, well, you made the right move!

The Pavilion g-series (g4, g6 and g7) is seeing gentle spec bumps for the productivity crowd, while the ProBook b-series (6465b and 6565b) gets a durable brushed-aluminum finish, a bead-blasted aluminum display enclosure and wear-resistant DuraFinish paint.

Moving right along, the ProBook s-series (4535s, 4435s and 4436s adds a brushed aluminum finish, as well as a gesture-enabled touchpad and integrated HD webcam.

The dv6 starts at $599.99, the dv7 at $699.99, the g4 at $449.99, g6 at $498, g7 at $499, and the ProBook like at $519. The whole lot will start to become available in late June, and continue through the summer.
