HP Introduces Five Low-End Point-And-Shoot Cameras, Three Camcorders
These are obviously aimed at the lower-end, a market which is also pretty crowded in its own right. The "premium" HP CW450t and HP PW460t models feature a 2.7" and 3" (respectively) display, a newly designed touch-screen interface, 4x optical zoom and an SD/SDHC card slot. The CW450t is available in two colors – blue and merlot – and priced at $109, while the PW460t is available in pink and charcoal gray and priced at $149.
The V5061u and V5560u spruce up the company's camcorder line, both of which have 3" touch-panels, support for 1080p shooting and motion detection capabilities. The latter has a 5x optical zoom and a Li-Ion battery, while the former has a dual SD/SDHC card slot setup and the option to use AA batteries if the standard Li-Ion runs out. They'll be priced at $169 and $199, respectively.
