Google's Latest Pixel 2 XL Promo Offers $200 Cash Back And Free Charger

Google Pixel 2 XL

There are plenty of reasons to consider the Pixel 2 XL as your next smartphone, not the least of which is the handset's excellent camera performance. However, if you are looking for added incentive, Google is providing it right now in the form of a $200 statement credit when you take advantage of Google Store Financing. On top of that, you can score a free 18W USB-C charger when you buy a Pixel 2 XL or the non-XL version.

To get the free charger, just add it to your shopping cart alongside either handset before checking out of the Google Play Store. When you get to the checkout screen, you should see a $35 credit to offset the retail cost of the charger. As for the $200 discount, it appears that only applies to the purchase of the Pixel 2 XL and not the regular Pixel 2 XL.

"Transaction must include a Pixel 2 XL phone. Purchases subject to credit approval. Offer valid starting March 18, 2018 at 12am PT and purchases must post to your account by 11:59pm PT on March 31, 2018. Account must remain open, be in good standing and not be or become delinquent. Allow up to two billing periods after promotion ends for statement credit to post to your account. Only one statement credit per account. Offer is non-transferable and not valid for cash or cash equivalent. Void where prohibited," Google states in its terms and conditions.

The Pixel 2 XL is normally priced at $849 for the 64GB SKU, or $35.38 for 24 months with Google Store Financing. Opting for the 128GB model brings the cost to $949, or $39.54 for 24 months, both before the $200 discount. From our understanding of the terms and conditions, the monthly payments are unaltered by the promotion, but you should be able to use your statement credit once it shows up. That would effectively drop the price of the Pixel 2 XL with 64GB of storage to $649, and the 128GB SKU to $749.

That is a tantalizing offer for what is a high-end handset. The Pixel 2 XL boasts a 6-inch QHD+ (2880x1440) display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and 4GB of RAM. It's also armed with dual rear 12.2-megapixel cameras and is capable of taking some fantastic photos. We recently performed a camera shootout between the Pixel 2 XL and Samsung's Galaxy S9+, and while the Galaxy S9+ took the slight edge overall, it was a close battle in every category we evaluated.
