Gefore 7900 Problems Impact Users
Fueling the notion that there is no "safe overclock", it seems there are problems with some factory overclocked 7900 cards. While the majority of overclocked 7900s out there are stable, some bad ones from BFG, XFX, and EVGA have slipped past the quality checks.
"It seems that the demon art of vendor overclocking is pushing many GeForce 7900 video cards beyond their abilities and into an early grave. It's one thing when you overclock the card, and another when it comes out of the box overclocked with a warranty."
