Frogger Turns 30 and Still Needs a Crosswalk, Gets a New App Instead
You'd think that after 30 years, Frogger would have found alternate routes to his destination, ones that wouldn't present life-threatening dangers at each and every step. But what would be the fun in that? Instead, you can still control the little green frog past dangerous moving obstacles, and you can do it in an all new game appropriately called Frogger Decades.
"Celebrating Frogger’s 30th birthday with an all new adventure! Frogger Decades is an exciting new chapter in the Frogger family of award-winning games, featuring breathtaking animation with an original musical soundtrack and cast of new characters to experience the Frogger world in a whole new way," Konami writes in the game's description.
Frogger Decades sports a whole new set of graphics than the original version you played on your Atari 2600 console (Check out the embedded video above to see how he's evolved through the years). It has touch screen controls, making navigation a breeze on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, as well as new characters, new features/abilities, and supports achievements.
