The latest Fortnite craze is movie-themed crossovers events. The last crossover throw-down had everyone fighting Thanos not long ago, to tie in with Avengers: Endgame. This week marks the premiere of the third installment in the John Wick franchise, as well as the latest crossover event for Fortnite gamers. The new LTM mode that goes along with the latest John Wick film called Wick's Bounty.
The idea behind the mode is to collect gold tokens each time you eliminate one of the other bounty hunters in the game. The catch is that the top three token leaders will have their location shown on the map at all times for other bounty hunters to target. Players will also get some Wick-themed items to collect, including Gold Token Back Bling, a OneShot Glider, Boogeyman Wrap, and bonus XP for players.
The update that adds the new LTM also brings with it a tactical assault rifle and changes to other weapons in the game. Players can go by the shop and get other Wick items, with a John Wick outfit available along with a Simple Sledge Pickaxe. There also appears to be a backpack with a gun sticking out of it and other items.
Fortnite's success has been huge despite pressure from new battle royale genre games like Apex Legends. A few days ago Fortnite players found another insta-kill location that gamers should avoid until Epic Games issues an update to fix it. The new v9.01 update did fix some performance issues on platforms, however, it's not clear if the insta-kill spot has been patched.
