Dell's Inspiron 17 7000 Claims To Be The World's First 17-inch Convertible
Dell unveiled a new line of Inspiron 2-in-1s with Windows 10 at Computex 2016 in Taipei, Taiwan. These new PCs include the Inspiron 17 7000 2-in-1, the world’s first 17-inch 2-in-1 laptop. Each of the devices come preloaded with Windows 10, which means you have access to such features as Cortana, convenient and secure login with Windows Hello through the optional infrared built-in camera, and webpage markup in Microsoft Edge with the touchscreen.
The Inspiron 13, 15 and 17-inch 7000 2-in-1s are equipped with 6th Gen Intel Core processors, Standard Waves MaxxAudio Pro audio software, USB Type C ports, and wide-viewing angle screens with FHD resolution, infrared camera, and a standard backlit keyboard. The three laptops are able to bend into laptop, tent, and tablet modes. The touchpad is said to be more precise and a new 802.11ac wireless standard provides improved range and speed. The Inspiron 11-inch 3000 2-in-1 features a HD resolution display (1366×768) and includes a USB 3.0 port along with a microSD media card reader.
The Inspiron 5000 2-in1’s are a little bit sleeker in design. Both the 13-inch and 15-inch have SSDs that provide longer battery life, quicker responsiveness and improved shock resistance as compared to conventional rotational HDDs. They also include True-life LED-Backlit Touch Display and up to 16GB of dual channel DDR4 memory.
The Inspiron 15 and 17 5000’s are glossier and come in the color options Midnight Blue, Bali Blue, Fog Night and Tango Red. They also include 16GB of dual channel DDR4 memory and a wide-angle viewing FHD display.
The new Inspirons will be available in June 2nd in the United States and China. Prices start at $249 USD and are available at Dell.com.
