Dell Rolls Out Next Generation Precision Mobile Workstation for Design Pros

Dell today dropped us a line to let us know about its next generation Precision mobile workstations built for engineering and design professionals. The OEM rolled out two new models, including the Precision M4700 and M6700, which Dell claims are the world's most powerful 15-inch and 17-inch mobile workstations, respectively.

They're also affordable. Dell's Precision M4700 starts at $1,049 and includes an Intel Core i5 3320M processor clocked at 2.6GHz, 2GB of DDR3-1600 RAM, 320GB SATA hard drive (7200 RPM), AMD FirePro M4000 graphics, 8X DVD burner, 802.11g/n Wi-Fi, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, and 6-cell battery. That's not exactly a system configuration that's going to make waves in the performance community, though it's fully upgradeable from top to bottom, including RAID storage options.
