Dell Reveals Line Up Of Windows 8 Devices
Dell announced the new XPS 12, XPS One 27, and Inspiron One 23 today. All three of these new systems are built for Microsoft Windows 8 and are currently available for preorder. Dell's XPS 12 is a convertible laptop that can also function as a tablet thanks to its flip hinge touchscreen design. In tablet mode, the display completely covers the keyboard and protects it from dirt and spills. The XPS 12 has a full HD display. The XPS 12 convertible starts at $1,199.99.
The XPS One 27 is an all-in-one machine that features a 27-inch Wide Quad HD Display along with performance graphics for multimedia and entertainment enthusiasts. This all-in-one also features an articulating stand that lets you tilt the display to a 60-degree angle. The XPS One 27 with touch starts at $1,599.99.
Another all-in-one, the Inspiron One 23 has also been updated to feature Windows 8 and is now available with a touchscreen option. This all-in-one starts at $779.99 with the touch option.
In addition to these new systems, Dell is updating its XPS 13 with new specifications including the Ivy Bridge chipset, making this system twice as fast as the previous generation XPS 13. Dell is also updating other products in its XPS, Inspiron, Latitude, OptiPlex and Precision brands to include Windows 8 options.
