CyberPowerPC Aims for Style and Silence With Zeus HTPCs

CyberPowerPC announced a new line of Zeus HTPCs that are designed to be stylish enough to be prominently displayed in your home theater configuration but are dead silent, never interrupting your movie-watching or game-playing.

CyberPowerPC bills the Zeus HTPCs as “your DVR, enthusiast home theatre PC, gaming console and DVD/Blu-Ray Player” in one, and indeed, looking at the specifications, that’s feasible. Wrapped in a slim microATX chassis (17.125 x 15.35 x 2.75 inches, L× W×H), the Intel-based version of the Zeus HTPC starts with a quad-core Intel Core i5-4430 processor, AMD Radeon HD 7750 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 2TB (7200 RPM) HDD (for $895). There’s also a version based on the quad-core AMD A8-6400K APU that starts at $699.

Both the Intel- and AMD-based Zeus HTPCs, of which there are 6 total SKUs, also feature slot-loading DVD-RW ODDs, 802.11n WiFi, Media Center remotes, and Logitech K400 wireless keyboards with built-in touchpads. The systems are passively cooled with razor fins, and the company is offering silent editions of the GPUs, as well.

Predictably, you can select more robust components, including SSD options, CPU and GPU upgrades, additional memory, and so on.
