Creative Reveals New Gaming Headsets For Console And PC Gamers Alike

Turtle Beach, Razer and a few others may be jockeying for position in the crowded gaming headset game, but Creative -- a company best known for their Sound Blaster heyday -- is giving them some real competition. The company just revealed a new range of Sound Blaster gaming headsets at the IFA 2011 conference in Berlin, with a full line of options suitable for Xbox 360 / PS3 gamers as well as those using PC or Mac platforms.


The new Sound Blaster Tactic3D Sigma gaming headset (designed for Xbox 360) features a steel core headband design with 50mm audio drivers, and there's also a powered headset amplifier with separate voice and game audio controls. The Tactic 360 ION has 40mm audio drivers, a powered headset amplifier with separate voice and game audio controls and support for the Xbox 360.

The Sound Blaster Tactic3D Wrath Wireless is the king of this hill, with 50mm drivers, bundled software, red illuminated earcups, and support for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC and Mac. The whole lot should be available soon, but we'll have to await word on U.S. pricing.
