Corsair Launches H100i And H115i RGB Platinum Liquid CPU Coolers, We Go Hands-On
The H100i RGB Platinum has a 240mm radiator that is backed by two 120mm fans. The H115i RGB Platinum ups the ante with a larger 280mm radiators and twin 140mm fans. Other differences can be found in fan speeds: the former can vary its speeds from between 400 to 2,400 RPM, with the latter ranging from 400 to 2,000 RPM.
Where the two share common ground is with customizable RGB lighting that adorns both fans (four LEDs on each fan) and the pump head (16 LEDs). All of the LEDs are customizable, allowing you to match the colors scheme of the rest of the RGB lighting elements within your wicked gaming rig.
Running the show is Corsair's iCUE software that not only allows you to modulate fan and pump speeds, but also serves as the home for customizing the RGB lighting. Both the Hydro Series H100i and H115i come backed with a 5-year warranty and will be available from Corsair's usual retail partners starting today priced at $159.99 and $169.99 respectively.
Fortunately for us, we have the Hydro Series H100i RGB Platinum in our testing lab right now. We currently have it hooked up in an open-air bench setup, but we're planning on putting it to good use in a full build in a future article.
