Chaintech GeForce 6600GT, Holiday System Guide, plus more!
Well folks, my package finally arrived and I couldn't be happier with my results. So far I'm running it at a stable 2.34GHz, which is close to the speed of a 3800 . Not bad for a $155 "budget" CPU. I hope all your winter overclocking sessions go as smoothly :)
ATake Phantom Robot ChipsMod IV Chipset Cooler @ BigBruin
"There are certainly other coolers, but none of them can be compared to the ChipsMod IV's unique looks. As for the performance, that's marginal without the fan, giving only a 2 degree C advantage over the stock MSI heat sink. Add the fan on there, and that improves to almost a 6 degree C difference!"
Corsair TwinX1024-4400C25PT Memory Review @ PCStats
"These two TwinX1024-4400C25PT Platinum Edition DDR modules are 512MB in size, and run at 550MHz. This memory isn't as fancy as the LED-illuminated TwinX1024-4000PRO models PCstats burned in recently, but they are faster."
Chaintech GeForce 6600GT AGP Review @ OCModShop
"I am very impressed with this video card, I didn't think that it would make such a huge improvement. This is the kind of upgrade that makes spending the money worth while. Before the 6600GT I used the 5700 Ultra in my personal system and it simply wasn't cutting it."
