Bethesda Announces Fallout 4 Game of the Year Edition Launches In September

Fallout 4 was first released nearly two years ago (November 10th, 2015), and has seen a number of updates and DLC packs released during that time. To cash in on the success of the game, while at the same time bundling in all of the available updates to-date, Bethesda is releasing a new Game of the Year Edition of the game.

According to Bethesda, you’ll find updates (including Survival Mode) along with the much-appreciated graphical enhancements that have been added to the game over the past since its release. Mods are supported on both PCs and consoles, and of course, you’ll gain access to the following add-ons for Fallout 4:

  • Nuka-World
  • Vault-Tec Workshop
  • Contraptions Workshop
  • Far Harbor
  • Wasteland Workshop
  • Automatron

The Fallout 4: GOTY Edition will be available on September 26th in the United States, and can be purchased for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.

In addition to the standard GOTY Edition, there will also be a Fallout 4 GOTY Pip-Boy Edition. The bundle will include the game, a Vault-Tec Perk poster, Pip-Boy pocket guide and a wearable Pip-Boy. If you recall, Bethesda released a similar bundle when Fallout 4 was first released and the Pip-Boy editions became an instant sell-out, with many going for hundreds of dollars as a result of the limited supply.

Fallout 4 has won in excess of 200 awards since its launch and follows the travails of a “sole survivor” who must navigate post-apocalyptic Boston, Massachusetts. The game has even gone on to spawn companion apps, a la Fallout Shelter for Android, iOS, Xbox One and Windows 10.
