Bethesda Drops Nuke Full Of ‘Fallout’ Titles With Anthology Collector’s Edition
Leave it to Bethesda to knock it out of the park with collector’s editions for its games. If your recall, the company kicked off Fallout 4 pre-orders with the Pip-Boy edition which included a wearable Pip-Boy that hooks up with your smartphone, a capsule case, a Robco Industries stand, and of course a copy of the game (among other things).
Priced at a relatively low (for a collector’s edition) $119, the Pip-Boy Edition sold out quickly. And as Bethesda made it clear in late June, it won’t be restocked, meaning that if you didn’t get your hands on a pre-order, you’ll have to duke it out on eBay for well over MSRP.
But Bethesda just couldn’t sit still until the fall release of Fallout 4; of course not. So the the company is serving up the Fallout Anthology which covers every facet of the Fallout series leading up to Fallout 4. That means you’ll find within the set Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition, and Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition.
Best of all, all five games fit within a nifty Fat Man mini-nuke. Bethesda even left enough space inside the nuke to fit Fallout 4 when it’s released this November — that’s a nice touch.
Fallout Anthology arrives September 29th in North American and will spread to Europe on October 2nd. The set will cost you $49.99, and you can pre-order it right now from Best Buy. But chances are, you’ll want to get your pre-order in as soon as possible, lest you end up like the slackers that missed out on the Pip-Boy Edition of Fallout 4.
