AT&T Begins Offering Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Plans For Heavy Users

Sprint went above and beyond the call of duty last year when it introduced a number of unlimited plans to give users a way to just forget about the meter. Many suggested that the move was made during a time when the carrier simply needed more consumers to take notice, but either way, we're now seeing that the move is having repercussions throughout the industry.

This week, AT&T went ahead and announced new unlimited plans across all device, which gives heavy talkers, texters and data users an easier way to keep track of what their bill will be. The company hasn't had the fact that it has way more smartphone users than any other operator, and while those smartphone users already provide a nice bit of margin, but unlimited plans make an even greater impact. Of course, those who can't seem to shake the overage charges will surely benefit, but don't expect to necessarily get a "good deal" here. Have a look at the full plans below--you'll notice that AT&T seems to be bundling in a premium in case you really do intend to take advantage of the "unlimited" portions here, and we honestly wouldn't recommend biting on one of these unless you really need more than your current plan provides. Don't bite off more than you can chew--isn't that what they say?

The new plans, which will be available beginning Monday, Jan. 18, can be ordered at AT&T’s 2,200 company-owned retail stores and kiosks, through convenient online service at www.att.com, or at one of the thousands of authorized AT&T retail locations.
