AT&T Adds 300MB and 2GB Tiers to Mobile Share Plans

In an effort to make sharing data and unlimited talk and texting "more affordable than ever," AT&T today dropped us a note to let us know about the launch of two new Mobile Share plans. Beginning July 26 (this Friday), new and existing customers will have access to new 300MB and 2GB shared data plans with unlimited talk and text.

The 300MB plan runs $20 month (plus costs per device) and slips in underneath the 1GB plan as the least expensive option for light users. For those who need more than 1GB to share with the family but perhaps not as much as 4GB, the new 2GB plan may fit the bill, though AT&T didn't say how much it will run per month. For reference, Ma Bell's 1GB and 4GB plans run $40 and $70, respectively, so expect the 2GB plan to cost somewhere in between.

AT&T Shared Data

"Our customers are living mobile lives, and our new Mobile Share plans give them even more options to design a plan that meets their unique needs," said Mark Collins, senior vice president voice and data products, AT&T Mobility. "Now, even more customers are able to enjoy the full benefits of their device, on the nation’s fastest and most reliable 4G LTE network, at a great value."

In addition to the 300MB and 2GB plans, as well as the 1GB and 4GB options already pointed out above, AT&T's Mobile Share with unlimited talk and text is also available in 6GB, 10GB, 15GB, 20GB, 30GB, 40GB, and 50GB tiers ranging in price from $90 to $500 per month, plus device costs.
