Asus Intros P5Q PRO Turbo and P5Q Turbo Mobos

Asus already proclaimed that it would be showcasing its new mATX ROG Rampage II GENE and concept Marine Cool motherboards at CeBIT, but now it has announced two more mobos to join them in Germany. The new P5Q PRO Turbo and P5Q Turbo boards are the latest in the company's growing P45-based P5Q Series and feature a Xtreme Phase Power Design to provide exceptional power efficiency.

As expected, both items are also equipped with TurboV and Turbo Key features for easy overclocking, plus the Asus EPU and Express Gate functions. For more on the Xtreme Phase Power Design, we'll let Asus explain: The Asus Xtreme Phase Power Design automatically utilizes more phases to deliver more power. Utilizing more phases actually results in lower average power loading for each phase, allowing more stable power to obtain higher overclocking performance. The Asus Xtreme Phase Power Design is also able to automatically switch power phases in relation to current loading—ensuring that overall power efficiency is increased. With such increased power efficiency, enhanced stability and smoother operations can be obtained under any loading—as well as the added benefit of reduced power loss—helping lower operating temperatures. The Asus Xtreme Phase Power Design can thus automatically maximize power, achieve better performance and more stability, enhance power efficiency, and lower temperatures under any loading.

While being green is great, we're sure you're also hungry for more details on those overclocking tools. The cleverly named Turbo Key is an exclusive feature that gives users the ability to boost performance levels with a simple button push. Additionally, the
P5Q PRO Turbo and P5Q Turbo arrive with TurboV, which is described as an advanced overclocking tool that utilizes a micro-controller to provide precise 0.02 voltage adjustments. As with most Asus products, the company has decided not to disclose pricing and availability, but the full specifications list is down below for your perusal.
