ARCHOS Gen11 Android Slider Tablet Gives You One More Choice to Consider

ARCHOS on Tuesday announced the availability of its ARCHOS 101 XS 2 tablet, the latest model from its Gen11 family of slates. It's a 10.1-inch tablet with an IPS display, 1280x800 resolution, quad-core A9 processor clocked at 1.6GHz (and quad-core Mali 400 GPU), 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage supplemented by a microSD card slot for up to an additional 64GB of storage.

The ARCHOS 101 XS 2 also features 2-megapixel cameras on the front and back, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro USB 2.0 port, front-facing speakers (hooray!), HDMI output (mini HDMI), Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and a few other amenities.

One of the main differentiating features between this and all the other Android tablets on the market is that the ARCHOS 101 X2 tabelt comes with a Coverboard, which is a magnetic chicklet-style keyboard. It also serves as an integrated protective cover and a kickstand for watching movies, making it a triple function accessory.

The ARCHOS 101 XS 2 with Coverboard included will be available in the U.S. starting in December for $279.
