Apple's iPad 2 Now Shipping In "3-4 Weeks"
Did you avoid the iPad 2 rush this weekend? Or did you just miss out
unintentionally? If you were trying to hunt down an iPad 2, but came up
empty-handed, there's more bad news in store. Apple's online store
currently shows a 3-4 week wait for the newest iOS slate, and loads of
Best Buy stores, Target locations and Walmarts have sold out of their
supply already. Naturally, the iPad 2 drew pretty large lines around the
nation on Friday afternoon, and there's no question that Apple sold a
ton of these.
Both the black and white models, 16GB-64GB, are currently backordered for nearly a month. We suspect you'll have better luck securing one at your local Apple Store. These tend to get refreshed stock in faster than other third-party sellers, but of course you could always order one online and then cancel it if you're lucky enough to come across one. Go figure -- the iPad 2 is selling out everywhere, and the specifications haven't even changed that much. We suspect all of those other tablet makers are scratching their heads and trying to figure out how to replicate this kind of success.
