After several months of rumors, the HTC First emerged as the closest thing there is to a Facebook phone, only it doesn't appear long for this world. The fellas over at Boy Genius Report claim to have it on good authority that AT&T has already decided to flush the First from inventory and discontinue the short-lived experiment, though the writing was on the wall before today. Times are tough all around these days, but shop wisely, and you can stretch a dollar into a double cheeseburger from McDonald's, a song on iTunes, or any number of items from your local dollar store. You can even buy the HTC First, otherwise known as the Facebook phone, with a dollar bill and have a shiny copper penny left over to toss in a wishing well where you can wish you would have purchased an HTC One instead.
