Nikon has been fairly slow to update some of their higher-end cameras (like the D700, for example), but they're refreshing the lower-end models quite hastily. This morning, the D5100 was revealed to replace the aging D5000, and it's looking to be a great mid-range option for those looking to step up from their entry-level cam. It's a good bit slimmer than the outgoing D5000, and it offers a swiveling 3" LCD, an array of Effects, a 16.2MP CMOS sensor, 1080p D-Movie mode, an 11-point AF system, built-in HDR support and 4fps burst shooting.
