Zune took a price drop this week, losing $50 of its original $249 price. On the official Microsoft Zune blog, it was dismissed in little more than a paragraph. Coincidental that this happened so close to this week's Apple press event? You decide.
Some of you may have already heard, but tomorrow we’re dropping the
suggested retail price for Zune to $199. It’s part of the normal
product lifecycle, something we’ve had on the books for months.
Months, eh? Wink, wink. Yes, yes, it could just be a coincidence. Or perhaps a way to clear out some inventory before a Zune II?
