YouTube Enables Slomo Video Feature Enhancement Tool

What’s better than a video of your cat yodeling? A slow-motion video of your cat yodeling, of course – and YouTube wants to help you do it. As of today, you can find the slomo tool in the YouTube Editor, alongside the stabilization tool and other effects. The slomo tool lets you adjust the speed by percentages, giving you some control over just how excruciating that clip of your dog drooling really is.

And with slomo:

Some users have complained of brief pauses in their slomo-ed videos. We haven’t experienced that in our own tests, so if you’ve run into the problem, let us know in the comments. Possible pause-issue aside, the tool looks pretty slick and is integrated nicely with the YouTube Editor.

Josh cut his teeth (and hands) on his first PC upgrade in 2000 and was instantly hooked on all things tech. He took a degree in English and tech writing with him to Computer Power User Magazine and spent years reviewing high-end workstations and gaming systems, processors, motherboards, memory and video cards. His enthusiasm for PC hardware also made him a natural fit for covering the burgeoning modding community, and he wrote CPU’s “Mad Reader Mod” cover stories from the series’ inception until becoming the publication editor for Smart Computing Magazine.  A few years ago, he returned to his first love, reviewing smoking-hot PCs and components, for HotHardware. When he’s not agonizing over benchmark scores, Josh is either running (very slowly) or spending time with family.
