Twitter’s Vine Photo App Comes to Kindle Fire Users, on Amazon Now

Vine sure has been making the rounds the lately. After amassing 13 million users on iOS since launching in late January, Vine saw fit to swing over to Android earlier this month. Lest anyone think the video sharing service is leaving any stone unturned, it's now available to Kindle Fire users in the Amazon Appstore for Android.

This is a critical time for Vine as it looks to remain relevant in the wake of Facebook adding video recording capabilities to Instagram, the photo sharing service it purchased for $1 billion. By making its way over to Amazon, Kindle Fire users can record looping videos up to 6 seconds in length using the front-facing camera on their tablet.

Speaking of which, support for front-facing cameras was one of the feature upgrades in the newest version of Vine. In addition, the latest release offers a new upload manager for unsubmitted posts, improvements to settings, improvements to camera loading time, support for more devices, general speed improvements, bug fixes, and some UI tweaks.
