Twitter Improves Search Functionality with Autocomplete, Spelling Corrections, and More
Eventually, Twitter published a blog post announcing changes to the microblogging service that include search autocomplete, results that deliver both actual names and Twitter user names, related suggestions, and results from people you follow. Users can decide for themselves just how enormous these changes are or are not, but it’s certain that searching within Twitter just got a lot easier.
Now, when you enter a search query, Twitter will automatically suggest results as you type--just like Google does--and it will ignore your selling typos and offer up the results you meant to search for. As you can see from the helpful screenshot, names and user names are neatly sorted for you.
Most of those features, including related search suggestions, search autocomplete, and spelling corrections, are also now available on iOS and Android.
