TUL Unveils PowerColor PCS+ Votex II Series Videocards for "Enthusiasts Only"
There are two new cards as part of the Vortex II series, starting with the Powercolor PCS+ HD7870 Vortex II. This one boasts a core clockspeed of 1120MHz and 2GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 1250MHz on a 256-bit bus. Those are slightly higher clockspeeds than AMD's reference design, which calls for a 1000MHz engine clock and 1200MHz memory clock.
TUL also introduced the PowerColor PCS+ HD7970 Vortex II with an 1100MHz core clockspeed (up from 925MHz on reference cards) and 3GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 1425MHz (up from 1375MHz on reference cards) on a 384-bit bus. Both cards are equipped with multiple output options, including DL-DVI-I, SL-DVI-D, HDMI (x2), and a mini DisplayPort.
