T-Mobile Getting Dell's Streak 7 Tablet For $199 On Contract

And the Streak gets larger. Dell's original Streak was just 5" in size, which was quite small for a "tablet." But then again, it was one of only a few tablets that could double as a smartphone. Most 7" tablets have their cellular capabilities disabled, but that size has proven to be pretty popular. Just look at the Galaxy Tab, for example. Now, Dell will be competing directly against Samsung and the other tablet makers who are pumping out 7" slates just as fast as they can.

Dell's Streak 7 is the same Streak you know, but with a 7" screen that is more conducive to watching multi-media. And now, that Streak 7 will be coming to T-Mobile. The Android 2.2 (Froyo)-based tablet will be sold on T-Mob for $199.99 with a 2-year contract, with sales to begin on Wednesday. If you have forgotten, the Streak 7 is powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 2, and it will support T-Mobile's HSPA+ network. If you aren't much on a contract, the slate will be on sale for $450 free-and-clear, making it somewhat cheaper than the Galaxy Tab off-contract.

Decisions, decisions...
