We’re still scratching our
heads over why Apple even bothered with a
16GB iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, especially considering the issues that some users have experienced
upgrading to iOS 8.
Luckily for T-Mobile customers, Cyber Monday brings with it a “fix” for Apple’s
entry-level storage shortfalls.
For
today only, T-Mobile
will double (or in some cases quadruple) the amount of onboard storage for free
when you purchase a new iPhone. If you purchase a 16GB iPhone 6, you’ll get a
free upgrade to the 64GB model. Purchase a 32GB iPhone 5s, and you’ll be given
a 64GB model. Finally, users that select an 8GB iPhone 5c will get a free
upgrade to 32GB.
Unfortunately, T-Mobile’s
generosity doesn’t extend to users that purchase an iPhone 6 Plus. The iPhone 6
Plus has been in extremely limited supply ever since it launched in late
September, so that may explain why it’s been left out of the special promotion.
The offer ends today at
11:59 pm PST and “inventory is limited,” so if you’re planning on taking
advantage of this offer, do so sooner rather than later.
