T-Mobile Is Giving Free 64GB Upgrades For Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge Purchases This Weekend

Many would argue that the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are the best Android phones on the market. If nothing else, it's certainly in the conversation. At the same time, there's room for criticism, and chief among the complaints is the lack of expandable storage. If that's a concern, you'll be happy to know that Samsung has a special offer for this Memorial Day weekend -- get a 64GB Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge for the price of a 32GB model.

According to the leaked information obtained by TMoNews, the offer is valid from May 23 to May 25 (Saturday to Monday) for both postpaid and prepaid customers. If 32GB is enough storage, you can still buy either handset with the reduced storage allotment, and in return Samsung will give you $50 in the form of a prepaid Mastercard. Note that to receive the card, you must upload your phone receipt to www.t-mobile.com/promotions within 60 days of purchase.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

Sounds like a spanking good deal, right? That's because it is, though what if you already purchased a Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge with 32GB of memory? Well, normally your only option would be to pound sand and lament not waiting for a better deal to arise. But in this instance, Samsung has your back.

The memo states that "customers who purchased the S6 or S6 Edge before May 23 AND are in buyer's remorse can" either exchange the the 32GB model for a 64GB model at no charge (must be exchanged in the same channel that it was purchased) or receive an $80 credit if the 64GB model was already purchased.

Bear in mind that "buyer's remorse" refers to the 14-day period immediately following purchase. If you fall outside that 14-day window, you're probably out of luck, though it wouldn't hurt to sweet talk T-Mobile to see if they can make an exception.
