Sprint Offers Existing Customers Chance To Lease An iPhone 6 For $5 Per Month
Sprint is offering what it calls a "Loyalty Service Credit" of $15 per month to existing customers interested in leasing an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. It costs $20 to lease an iPhone 6, so after applying the credit, the price drops down to $5 per month. If you're interested in the iPhone 6 Plus instead, the cost is $10 per month after applying the loyalty credit, according to CNET.
Just last month, Sprint introduced a $50 unlimited plan designed solely for iPhone users. That plan required a $20 per month lease, and after every two years, you would be eligible to trade your existing iPhone in for the newest model at no additional cost. It's basically an iPhone for life commitment, or at least as long as you're a Sprint customer.
That wasn't of any real value to existing subscribers, hence why the company is now offering a loyalty credit. The same deal applies -- after 24 months, you can trade your iPhone in for a newer model. You can also keep your current service plan, so long as it's a qualifying one.
