Sony PlayStation Network Finally Accepts PayPal in the U.S.

Hey U.S. gamers, would you like a side of PayPal with your PlayStation Network (PSN)? You can have it, now that Sony is extending the same courtesy to PSN subscribers living in North America as was already available to those who reside in Europe.

It's more of an end-around process to use PayPal, as the option to add funds to your Wallet using the eBay-owned payment service is only available online and not accessible from within the PlayStation 3 console. Here's how to do it:
  • Sign into your account at SonyEntertainmentNetwork.com
  • Click "Add Funds to Wallet"
  • Click "Add Funds to Wallet" a second time
  • Click on the PayPal square and complete the process

Using PayPal, you can add funds in increments of $5, $10, $25, $50, and $150.

The well-timed inclusion of PayPal comes hot on the heels of a recent 26MB PlayStation Store patch (version 1.02) that speeds up navigation times.
