Samsung's 5.8" And 6.3" Galaxy Mega Smartphones Prove That Huge Is In

Let it be known: big is not only in, but "huge" is in as well. With the Galaxy Note 8.0 shipping soon in America, and the Galaxy Note II already selling in the millions globally, Samsung has recognized that there's a massive market for massive phones. Today, the company is introducing two new smartphones, and the naming makes a lot of sense. The 5.8" and 6.3" Galaxy Mega are enormous, and it's pushing the Galaxy range into a new level of big.

Both handsets ship with Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) onboard, as well as a few Samsung-only additions: Group Play, WatchON, ChatON, Samsung Link and S Translator. There's also an 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front camera, and up to 64GB of expandable storage. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 offers up both LTE and HSPA radios along with a 3200mAh battery, while the Galaxy Mega 5.8 has a qHD (960 x 540) display.

There's no word on a US-based ship date, but both versions should ship to Europe and Russia soon.
