Google's Pixel Stand Wireless Charging Stand For Pixel 3 Leaks

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL are not supposed to be revealed until October, but the rumors have already been flying. This past week we learned that the devices will launch alongside an upright wireless charging station.

The Pixel Stand is a wireless charging dock with a USB Type-C connector; it is orange and white and features the Google logo on its base. Unlike other wireless chargers, the Pixel will sit upright on the Pixel Stand. While on the Pixel Stand, the device will turn into a smart display. Its UI incorporates larger buttons and quick actions for features such as music; even the notifications will include a larger font. The UI will certainly make scrolling through your Instagram feed at three in the morning more comfortable.

What else do we know about the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL? The Pixel 3 XL will include a notch that is similar to the one featured on Apple’s iPhone X and other 2018 Android flagships. The Pixel 3 XL may incorporate a frosted glass back, a rear fingerprint sensor, and a single rear camera. There seems to be less info about the Pixel 3, but we do know it will not have a notch. It will instead feature healthy bezels at the top and bottom of the device. The Pixel 3 XL's display is expected to measure 6.2-inches, while the Pixel 3 is supposed to 5.5-inches. Both devices will have stereo speakers.

We know little about the other specs for the devices. It is believed that they will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and between 6GB to 8GB of RAM. There is some conjecture that the devices will incorporate 256GB of internal storage, but they may incorporate up to 512GB like the iPhone XS/XS Max and Galaxy Note 9.

The devices are also slated to have Android 9 Pie, which includes features such as Adaptive Battery, App Actions, Text Classifier and Smart Linkify. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will officially be revealed at a Google press event on October 9th in New York City.
